Jax Rivers doesn’t do roots. Raised in foster care and now a successful businessman, he’s used to flipping failing ventures and moving on. Neither is the beautiful, headstrong neighbor who seems determined to challenge him at every turn.

Lacey Black knows how to save a ranch, but not a man with a chip on his shoulder and one foot out the door. Volunteered by her father to help restore the place, she vows to stay professional and ignore the sparks that Jax ignites. But her own life has taken a turn she didn’t ask for, and she’s leaning hard on God to help her find a way forward.
