For Sara and her dog, Rocko, life in her country town on Route 66 is easy-going. The year is 1970 in the Arizona high desert and Kingman comfortably rolls along, just the way Sara likes it. She has plenty of time to pursue her artistic passion… until Rocko’s discovery changes everything.

Tangled up with a corpse, an alcoholic, and a runaway buffalo, Sara begins to wonder if there is a secret conspiracy to keep her from painting. Without her dog, Rocko, stepping in, her amateur sleuthing would leave a Native American mother to face the tribal police alone.
