In the fog of Victorian London, a killer stalks the slums.

London, 1884. When reporter Penny Green’s prized possessions, her father’s expedition diaries, are stolen from her in a street robbery, she’s determined to get them back. Her pursuit leads her into the notorious St Giles Rookery slum and straight into a murder scene. To her shock, Penny finds herself implicated in the crime.

Desperate to clear her name, Penny teams up with Inspector James Blakely of Scotland Yard and begins to uncover the slum’s tragic secrets, unsolved murders and a community ignored by authorities.
