The Perfect Time

Nell Goosen, 47, meets Ben Zhang, 50, at a beauty expo/hair show in Montreal. Ben, who immigrated from Hong Kong years ago, is charming and their attraction is immediate. They enjoy a one-night stand, never expecting to see each other again. Shy Nell returns to her factory job and elderly mother in Michigan, while Ben continues to attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and hold down his factory job. Nell, who is premenopausal and has never married, is shocked to discover she is pregnant. Ben is excited to become a father. However, Nell is scarred from the childhood abuse from her alcoholic father and Ben is haunted by years lost to severe alcoholism. Can they have a future together or will their past pain tear apart their already fragile connection?
