When a drop-dead gorgeous TV news reporter walks into private investigator Dick Moonlight’s Albany office, flanked by two cops and holding an envelope full of cash, he knows trouble has arrived. She’s the key witness against two brutal Russian gangsters accused of murdering a local bodega owner, and Moonlight’s been hired to keep her alive long enough to testify.

But Moonlight quickly realizes there’s more to this case than meets the eye. The deeper he digs, the more he uncovers a web of lies, corruption, and deadly secrets that stretch from the newsroom to the city’s underworld. With his eccentric partner “Fat 1977 Elvis” by his side, Moonlight must navigate crooked cops, hired killers, and his own demons before the truth gets him killed.
