Prophecy’s Ruin

Shocked mages lower their hands, their arcane energies fading away. In their desperate battle to claim the child of power, foretold to end the age-old war between shadow and light, they have instead torn him asunder, body and soul. Where a single babe lay but moments before, there now are two.

One boy screams into the stormy night, the other remains eerily still and silent. Each side seizes a child, its leaders uncertain if they now possess the key to victory, or if the prophecy itself has been undone.

Bel is raised in the land of the light, a warrior haunted by the secret of his fractured existence. Losara, taken by the dark, must learn to navigate the treacherous shadow court, and grows into a mage potent enough to unsettle his malevolent master. Both are powerful young men, yet incomplete. As they struggle to discover the shape of their futures, inevitably each must ask the question: will he, one day, have to face himself?
