The Buried City

No one ever escapes the Beyond.

On one side, an endless ocean stretches across the horizon. On the other, a vast black desert swallows the land whole. Trish has no memory of how she got there. No idea where her husband is, or where she should go. So she starts walking.

This world isn’t like home. Day and night don’t follow rules. Enormous eyes drift across the sky. Disembodied faces hover in the distance. Giants roam black oceans. Entire cities lie in ruins. At night, something even more dangerous comes out.

Everyone Trish meets along the way is heading in the same direction, toward a towering black pillar that pierces the sky. If her husband is still alive, he went the same way. Trapped in a world that defies logic and where danger lurks at every corner, Trish has only one choice: keep moving.
