The Grumpy Side of Paradise

Paradise was supposed to be a pit stop… until Thor showed up.

Okay, not the real Thor. But swap the hammer for a dog who won’t stop barking, and Adam Thomsen could easily pass for the broody god of thunder.

Too bad he thinks I’m the villain in his story.

And too bad for him—his scowl is no match for my super-charged positivity.

I’m in Paradise Valley to breathe life back into a historic house that could jumpstart my design career. This project is my shot at proving I’m more than just a big dreamer—if I can survive working with Adam, that is.

Adam’s as stubborn as they come, convinced I’m a disaster waiting to happen. He never smiles. He wishes I wasn’t here. And we clash on everything—from paint colors to the meaning of life.

But then I hear him sing. He finds me antlers (long story.) And suddenly, he’s everything I didn’t know I was looking for.

There’s just one problem—if I mess this up, I lose more than a job. Friendships, family ties, and a town with a history worth saving are all on the line.

I want to believe I can have it all. But this is Paradise, and my name is EVE. If anyone’s getting kicked out, it’s probably me.
