The Waiting tells the story of Benjamin Paulie, a boy growing up on a small Iowa horse farm in the 1920s. Benjamin struggles in school and feels out of place, but he has a powerful imagination and a special bond with horses. After a serious accident, Benjamin’s connection to one incredible horse unlocks a hidden talent that takes him all the way to the 1927 National Horse Show at Madison Square Garden.
