June 1976. Twenty-year-old Army Specialist William Davis arrives at the Joint Security Area inside Korea’s Demilitarized Zone expecting little more than a routine overseas assignment. Instead, he finds himself stationed at one of the most dangerous places on earth, where American, South Korean, and North Korean soldiers stand face-to-face beneath the fragile peace of an uneasy armistice.
