The German Secret Police wanted to bury the truth. They shredded every document they could, but some refuse to let the past stay buried for long.

Years later, Annie O’Shea, an American widow with a lifelong love of jigsaws, lands an unusual job in Berlin: reassembling shredded documents, piece by piece, for a clandestine organization called “The Puzzle People”. But when one reconstructed file points to a murder tied to the Wall’s collapse, Annie realizes these aren’t harmless fragments of the past.
