The Magic Club and the Mardi Gras King

Mardi Gras has come to Mobile, and something ancient is hiding behind the masks.

When Ben and the rest of the Magic Club are chosen for Mobile’s Junior Mardi Gras Court, they expect parades, costumes, beads, and maybe a little trouble from Frankie.

They don’t expect the jewelry given to them by the mysterious Lucien Vale to awaken something beneath the city.

Soon strange masks are appearing in the crowds. Emotions are spinning out of control. Friendships begin to fracture. And beneath the music, laughter, and pounding drums of Mardi Gras, an ancient power is feeding on fear, anger, and loneliness.
