Provence, 1942: Luc Bonet has spent his life among the lavender fields of the French Alps, raised from childhood by the Jewish family who gave him a home, a name, and a future. When Nazi soldiers seize everything and his loved ones begin to disappear, Luc abandons it all to join the French Resistance. Later, as a maquisard, living in the hills, he is given an important mission to guide and keep safe a beautiful English spy across occupied France.
