The Dragon’s Name

Magic is forbidden. Elementals are hunted. And anyone born with power is sentenced to serve or die.

Fifteen-year-old Riana Starliss is geared up to apprentice under her grandmother, the owner of Starliss Winery and Vineyard. When her quirky habit of sketching elementals lands her with the queen fire nymph as a reluctant ride-along, Riana’s at risk of being seen as an outlawed Tyrmini, a wielder of elemental magic.

Riana isn’t so sure she was born with Tyrmini abilities, but there’s no doubt elementals are drawn to her, a telltale sign of being a magic wielder. As an orphan and possessing features that set Riana apart from her fellow townspeople, Riana feels more accepted by the feared creatures lurking in the Tyrminhai forest than the vineyard workers she’ll one day lead. She’d do anything to keep them safe from the slaughter mandated by law.
