Storm Born

Every Stormbreaker dies. Vesper Thorne has two years to prove them wrong.

Vespera Thorne was raised in a fishing village and taught to keep her head down and her lightning hidden. She has three days at Zenith Academy before that becomes impossible.

The Academy takes the realm’s most powerful young channelers and bonds them to storm-creatures. Most cadets survive the trial. Some do not. And when Vesper walks into the Eye, something answers that should not exist, an ancient, seven-formed creature that has chosen only nine riders in a thousand years and buried every one of them.
