The Star tabloid is on the brink of bankruptcy. Reputations and livelihoods are on the line, until Winston Crumm, owner and figurehead of The Star, gets an offer he can’t refuse.

Equally arrogant, Corbin van Sloot is the bank CEO that is about to pull the Star’s loan and leave it flailing. As incompetent as Crumm may be in running his business, he knows that money talks. He’s ready to cut a deal with someone else in order to secure his cushy position, even if it means rubbing elbows with ruthless Russian oligarch Maxim Ripovsky.
