Showboat Soubrette

A rising star becomes pirate prey.

In a glittering showboat on the antebellum Mississippi, Stella Parrot captivates sold-out crowds and watches her dreams rise with every performance. But when a vicious river pirate attacks her, and her companions prevent him from finishing what he started, the applause gives way to a relentless hunt for revenge.

Pursued by the notorious Burton Gang, Stella, a Cherokee woman, flees towards New Orleans with Toby Freeman, a free Black man, and the loyal friend who helped save her. Their desperate journey plunges them into the lawless heart of the lower river, where raging storms, burning boats, deadly confrontations, and high-stakes gambles threaten to end their escape at every turn.
