Sherlock Holmes The Empty Tuck-Boxes

When Mycroft Holmes arrives at 221B Baker Street bearing a case of vintage claret and a peculiar wager, Sherlock Holmes finds himself dispatched to St Aldhelm’s College, a prestigious Berkshire boarding school plagued by a rash of inexplicable thefts. Seed cakes, potted meats, a prefect’s badge, and, most scandalously, the Headmaster’s ceremonial wig have all vanished without a trace.

The prime suspect is Algernon Ravenswood, shy, solitary, fourteen years old, and the son of a clergyman whose upcoming parliamentary testimony could reshape the Church’s role in English education. A scandal involving the boy would be devastating. Someone, Holmes quickly perceives, is counting on exactly that.
