Pass of Empires

The young Eastern Roman Emperor Basil II has suffered a serious setback in his campaign against the Bulgars on the edge of his empire. His army must traverse a narrow mountain pass near the Gate of Trajan to reach imperial lands once more, but his enemies are as fickle as they are ruthless. Only the intervention of a mysterious berserker and his band of northern warriors can save the emperor from capture or worse.
