When a sudden attack on their colony planet turns his life upside down, Rance must figure out who’s behind it before they destroy his homeworld.

The alien ship that appears over his house offers a clue, and Rance cannot resist their invitation. But he should have thought it through. The aliens are happy to meet him, but the Imperial military isn’t.

Soon he and his four friends are thrust into a conspiracy that threatens to destroy the galaxy-spanning Empire. But what they discover puts them at odds with the conspirators and it puts their lives in jeopardy. Can they take down the conspiracy before it took them out? Will their new alien friends help? And will the Emperor listen to a single word they say?

Unlikely. No one would believe five post-teens could save an Empire.
