Motor City Shakedown

It’s a case of mystery, murder, romance, and deadly pursuit in the very first adventure of Izzy and Darren!

When a Detroit man is viciously assaulted during an explosive police siege, anxiety-plagued rookie defense lawyer Issabella Bright rushes off to take his case. A freshly-minted attorney who has hardly seen the inside of a courtroom, Issabella convinces herself that defending this one helpless soul is the opportunity she needs to jumpstart her legal career and conquer the self-doubt she’s always struggled with.

Unbeknownst to her, Darren Fletcher, a charming, reckless, and ludicrously rich attorney who runs his office out of a booth at the back of a unicorn-infested bar –also races across town to land the case and resurrect his once-brilliant career. With visions of masterful courtroom drama and virtuoso defense work propelling him on, Darren dreams of reclaiming his reputation and banishing the ghost of a shocking tragedy that has haunted him for years.
