Love On A Limb

I never thought I would marry a patient, let alone a dying one.

But there’s something so intriguing about Matthew Grayken and his requests, especially his insistence that I’m here for companionship and care. Not love. He’s very clear about his expectations, especially the most important:

When it’s time, I have to let him go.

I planned on honoring that wish at first. I really did. But I also never planned on love, and I don’t think he did, either. And now that I face the inevitability we both saw coming, I must make the biggest decision of my life.

Can I sacrifice my heart and everything I am to secure the happily ever after neither of us expected? Or should I keep my promise and lose the man I love forever?
