Inevitable Impact

When the mystic Chiku foresees the destruction of her homeworld, Xilinx, the countdown begins. A massive asteroid, Gylex, is hurtling toward the planet, forcing its people to confront a grim choice: flee to one of the nearby habitable worlds… or face annihilation.

But each potential refuge carries its own peril. Bagok is a frigid, unwelcoming swamp planet. Helot is a desolate mining world. Lucero, though most like Xilinx, is diseased and overcrowded, with little time left before collapse. Relocating there would require Xilinx’s leaders to surrender their sovereignty.
