Gallows Born

He was born on the gallows, his mother’s corpse still swinging from the rope above. The superstitious villagers branded him the Bane of the North and left him to be claimed by the Fug – a deadly fog ruled by Draugr, the restless dead of fallen warriors.

They never thought he’d return, marked by an ancient god.

Fifteen winters later, Bane lives as an outcast, scraping a living between the walls of Castle Garik and the wilds beyond. But the mark he carries is no curse.

As whispers of war spread and the old powers begin to stir, Bane is drawn toward a fate far greater than survival, one tied to a forgotten god and a legacy written in blood.
