Death In Vermilion

Everyone wanted Iris gone. No one expected her to end up dead.

When artist and amateur detective Leila Goodfriend hears a violent crash from the studio above hers, she assumes that dislikable Iris is causing a scene. She’s wrong. The sound was Iris’s body hitting the floor.

Leila is trapped in a nightmare where every member of the Red Barn Cooperative has a reason to kill, and every answer leads to a lie. The artists are talented. Ambitious. Jealous. They smile to each other’s faces while hiding dangerous secrets.

As Leila digs deeper, friendships fracture, alibis collapse, and her suspicion turns into obsession. The closer she gets to the truth, the more certain she is the killer isn’t finished yet. Set in the deceptively peaceful beauty of Cape Cod, Death in Vermillion is a twist-filled psychological thriller about envy, betrayal, and the deadly price of ambition.
