They were called GIs. Manufactured soldiers, ‘General Issue’, churned out by the tens of thousands to fight for the League in the war against the Federation.

They weren’t meant to be smart, because smart soldiers might not do what they’re told. But a few were experimental. Free thinking. Clever. They fought and died with the rest… and a few proved incredibly hard to kill. One of those lasted long enough that she began to wonder if she was fighting for the right side after all.

These are the tales of Cassandra Kresnov, the GI who went AWOL from the League, and sought a happier life in the Federation. She was tired of killing, but when you’re built to be the ultimate killing machine, such purpose cannot be escaped so easily.
