Bound Maiden

Daphne has spent her life running wild beneath the moon, bow in hand, hound at her heels, determined to give herself to no man. Daughter of a river god and sworn in her heart to Artemis, she wants only the hunt, the forest, and the freedom of her own untouched body.

Then Apollo comes to Arkady.

Golden, arrogant, impossible Apollo, god of the sun, of prophecy, of poetry, of plague, who has chased many lovers but kept no love. He arrives to slay a serpent, but it is Daphne he catches in his shining rope. Furious, humiliated, and unwillingly enthralled, she discovers a hunger in herself no vow to Artemis has prepared her to face: the desire to be bound.
