Deep Death

A woman is standing at the very edge of a cliff. The sea roars ferociously below. Gulls’ cries pierce the fog. Before the eyes of a horrified bird watcher, the woman stumbles into the abyss.

Her body is never found. Did the young mother of two really commit suicide, as the Newfoundland police initially believe?

Two months later, a second witness comes forward, only to be found dead shortly after. A newly formed police task force led by the intrepid investigator Calista Gates takes over the case. Her boss wants her to also investigate two earlier cases in which people vanished from deadly cliffs. Calista uncovers family intrigue, jealousy, and dangerous schemes—but can her special unit find evidence of murder?
Just as the task force is following a new hot lead, another person plunges off a steep cliff, at a dangerous spot Calista knows all too well.
