The Simple Man

“Peace wasn’t meant to be hoarded; it was meant to be carried.”

Marcus Dives was a legendary General who conquered nations, but in retirement, the silence of his home has become a deafening prison. Haunted by the ghosts of his past and standing on the brink of despair, he embarks on a final, desperate journey to find a mythical Wise Man at the peak of a treacherous mountain.

But what begins as a quest for personal peace transforms into a brutal trial of survival. Stripped of his rank, his wealth, and his pride, Marcus must navigate the frozen, war-torn Dead Lands, relying on the mercy of forgotten strangers and the strength of a fiercely independent healer named Eirys.
