When it is time to go on leave, a young woman is given the opportunity to escape from her fourteen-hour seven-day work week for a whole two days. With all this free time at hand, her plan is to do nothing but party and attempt to retake the state placement test. A test that determines a person’s occupation and worth within a totalitarian state. Success for her means breaking free from the shackles of poverty. Even if she can neither read nor write, she is determined to see it through, no matter the cost.
