This question has run on a loop in Kate’s mind ever since John, a fellow CIA officer and the man she loves, stopped checking in with his team. He’s been working deep cover with the Sanguinario cartel in Sinaloa, Mexico, and has never missed a check-in until six days, eight hours, and thirty minutes ago.
