Then Bear and his friends blinked, and the world had skipped ahead without them.

Now it’s decades later, magic is real, technology is ridiculous, and the city they knew has become the Gridlands, a neon-choked sprawl of corpo power, street deals, drones, and just enough chaos to keep life interesting. The people who disappeared and came back are called the Re-Emerged.
