Stitches that Bind

Two years into their marriage and Joe and Nimat have not yet had sex. Neither of them can agree on what to do. They share their small London apartment with Nimat’s aunt, the woman who raised and cared for Nimat after her mother died in childbirth.

Auntie doesn’t like Joe, and he often comes home to her complaints. Why does he leave his dirty underwear on the floor, sounds reasonable. Why is Nimat not pregnant, feels like an assault on his manhood.
