A severed Tyrannosaurus Rex head is delivered to Bryan and Loretta Gilliam at their Montana ranch. Recent photos of them and their three children are spiked on the Rex’s teeth. Who is behind the threat and why? Private investigator Mike Mathews is hired to track down the culprits. 

The grisly delivery kicks off the third summer of dinosaurs roaming the Continental Divide in Montana and Idaho. Three families are caught in the middle of the prehistoric invasion. Exotic animal traffickers illegally trap and sell dinosaurs for exorbitant profit. Someone is killing off hunters and trappers. State and federal governments are in a quandary over how to deal with the invading beasts and the crimes they generate.
