Marianne

Marianne was born premature, and barely made it into this life. Her first baby picture shows a bald-headed, toothless little thing but with the biggest grin on her face, overjoyed to be here. Caring for others seems to be here calling. “Marianne is always bringing home strays,” her mother once said, referring to not only dogs but also humans in need. She wants to be a nurse, but the young man she marries wants her life to revolve around him. She has two children with him, but when he dies in a vehicle accident she is on her own. She later becomes friends with Owen Cloud, and they eventually marry. As the decades pass, Owen is often amazed at the strength of Marianne’s love, and grows closer to her faith.
