I’m not supposed to like Jack Sullivan, let alone fall for him.

He’s the grumpiest man in Oakridge, a former Navy SEAL who barely speaks, barely smiles, and definitely doesn’t trust anyone, especially me.

Then one day he storms into my clinic after hours, carrying his injured service dog like his world is ending, and suddenly I’m the one holding everything together.
