Future’s Guardian

In a future New York City, the Augamani Corporation dominates all aspects of life. Unemployment is nonexistent, as employment is mandatory by law. Ylan, a Factory Maintenance Technician, works hard and takes pride in his salary. Like everyone else, he seems to have no reason to complain.

However, when unforeseen events begin to threaten Ylan’s stable life, he faces a grave challenge: Should he try to maintain the familiar, or should he let go and adapt to the rapidly changing world around him?

Is the unknown a harbinger of misery, or does it promise better things to come, signaling that the old normal will soon be forgotten?
