When you’ve lost everything, who knows what you can find?

In August 2005, Sarah Dakar didn’t lose only the home she loved in Gush Katif, a Jewish settlement in Gaza, she lost her faith in God, her country and humanity.

How could God have mercilessly allowed her own army to drag her out of her home? And how could her fellow citizens have cheered on the destruction of her beloved seaside community?

She heads off to Tel Aviv to start college, but while she once thought she’d bring holiness to Israel’s “sin city,” this “good girl” now seeks solace and answers in the city’s pleasures. Through her friendship with her cousin and musician, Dael Mark, she discovers the power of music to heal her.
